Job requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developers and Testers at all aspects of SDLC to implement Software testing lifecycle.
  • Devise test strategy, covering both functional and non-functional aspects, and produce the required test artefacts, i.e. test plan, test cases, test data, issue reports and test execution reports.
  • Perform functional and non-functional testing as per the defined test strategy.
  • Perform security/penetration testing of system in collaboration with other teams.
  • Develop deep understanding of system architecture/design and prepare the reusable scripts for testing and troubleshooting common application flows.
  • Gain required business and system knowledge to act as subject matter experts.
  • Prepare knowledge base articles for the assigned new features.
  • Analysing and recording test results and reporting software bug.
  • Attend all Scrum ceremonies of the assigned project and team.
  • Participate actively in project and team meetings to voice feedback, issues and suggestions.
  • Research the new tools and technologies pertaining to software testing and development in general.

Requirements

  • Min. 4-5 years’ experience while working as QA member in an agile (Scrum) and/or process-based environment, with extensive exposure to all aspects of SDLC and STLC.
  • Have independently defined and implemented test strategy (covering both functional and non-functional testing) for medium to large scale projects(s),
  • Have hands-on experience in testing enterprise level web applications (Angular, CSS and HTML) and web services (REST/SOAP).
  • Proficiency in testing toolkit for web applications and web services, like SOAPUI, Fiddler or Postman, Browser Dev Tools, etc.
  • Working knowledge of at least one relational DBMS, SQLServer, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Experience in maintaining Windows and Linux based on-premises and cloud (preferably AWS) test environments.
  • Hands-on experience in creating & maintaining all the testing related artefacts for all phases of testing (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases & End User Acceptance Completion Reports)
  • Organised and capable of working on multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity or experience in application/system penetration testing above and beyond running automated tools.
  • Understanding of security standards, penetration testing and ethical hacking, such as, OWASP, CREST, OSCP, etc.
